Smelt Patterns
This gallery, along with the rest on our web site, is dedicated to our original featherwing streamer flies. Totally original patterns and conversions that we have designed for the fishing conditions and situations that make catching big trout and salmon so tough. Some may be slight variations of existing patterns with others being completely new ones you have probably never seen or heard of.
This gallery is, as it states, all smelt patterns. Many of the patterns do not resemble each other and may not look like any smelt you have seen, but trust me, through our clients and our own personally experience these are the patterns to fish when the fish are chasing smelts.
Please note that your actual flies may vary slightly from the ones pictured in our galleries due to screen settings & calibration, etc.
We are in the process of re-shooting our flies, so please bear with us as it will take some time. All of our flies pictured are taken from customers orders, so re-shooting may take a while. The original site pictures are all from 2001 and not only has our tying style changed slightly, but we have slightly changed the materials and tying methods on some patterns. During this transition, the older flies pictured in the galleries might not be exactly the same as the ones youll receive if you order during this time. Dont worry, there are no drastic changes and you probably wont even notice the slight differences. We hope to have this completed by the end of April.
