I was designing some new patterns for a client who asks me to tie specific colors for him and it was around Halloween hence the name. The pattern has since caught many brookies and salmon and works well in the spring time as a troller, or in heavy currents where smelts reside as it slightly resembles a smelt and an emerald shiner.
