Penobscot Tiger

This is a pattern of mine that I tied originally as a classically influenced hairwing salmon fly in an homage to the Atlantic Salmon that once patrolled the Penobsscot River. I really like the look of the fly so I decided to tie it onto a fresh water hook and fish it on the WB. It was very productive so I turned it into a featherwing streamer. It is a great attractor pattern that works well in fast water and in shoots that dump into eddies. It also works extremely well during the fall when landlocks are staging and hitting aggressively.
