Easter Basket

This is another one of my patterns influenced by salmon flies. A lot of salmon flies are pink and purple and here on the W.B. I mainly target salmon, so I thought I would come up with a salmon streamer in the same color scheme to try here. While tying it, the colors reminded me of Easter and after taking it out and catching a nice sixteen inch salmon on it within twenty minutes I felt the fly was worthy of keeping as a new pattern. This fly works well in the spring and winter and has taken many species of salmon including landlocks, atlantics, kings, cohos and steelhead.
