Supervisor Game Warden Joseph S. Stickney of Saco, Maine is the originator of this pattern. However, this is a variation of the original pattern that he had Carrie Stevens tie for her clients. Mr. Stickney didn't tie his own flies and had Carrie tie them for him. Carrie sometimes called this version her Lake Supervisor.
