The second pattern in the “Trout Series”. Again, here the fly looks similar to that of an actual brown trout, but the orange is actually a favorite color of the brown trout I fish for. The second day I fished this fly I caught and released a 31 inch brown that my buddy and I estimated at 13 pounds. It works extremely well for brown trout, and is a great fall attractor pattern for all species of trout and salmon here in Maine.
