This extremely dark silver colored male salmon was taken on an early morning in the end of September and even though he was around 21 inches long he fought like he was 20lbs; jumping too many times to remember and going deep to shake his head on a few occasions.  He was also gorged on smelts and I spot cast to him with numerous smelt patterns before he took a #4 B&B, a favorite fall pattern of mine.
