Imposter

This pattern too is one of the "Ghost" variations I came up with while designing new versions for a client. I have actually grown quit partial to this particular pattern as I think it resembles an actual smelt more closely than most smelt patterns out there and this past springs testing (2003) has proven my feeling. This fly took the majority of my salmon this past spring and on one particular day, three consecutive casts with it landed me 3 fish totalling over 60 inches of salmon weighing well over 15 pounds!
